Praxis Psychology, offers quality affordable counselling sessions/trainings/webinars which enables effective therapy to clients understanding. That engagement with therapy/training/motivation requires an extended personal and financial investment.

*Please note, eligibility for a Medicare rebate is dependent upon a referral from a GP. Please see below for more details.

Medicare Rebates

Contact your GP to discuss with them why you would like to come for counselling. Your GP will then run through a list of questions with you to determine if you are eligible a Mental Healthcare Plan. Medicare rebate, which as outlined in the grid above will reduce your cost, for up to 10 sessions.

If you hold a **Pension card, Health Care Card, DVA, NDIS and have been referred to us from your GP with a Mental Health Care Plan (details above), you will be eligible for bulk-billed sessions at Praxis with a minimal GAP fee.

Private Healthcare

Please do check with your provider about the details of your cover.
Important You cannot claim a private health insurance rebate together with a Medicare rebate.

Making Payments & Our Cancellation Policy

There are no advance payments necessary for your sessions. Instead, we ask that payment for each session is made on the same day that you attend. For bulk billing clients, payments can be processed via your Medicare card and MHCP.
Please be aware that a cancellation fee will be incurred, and that Medicare rebates cannot be claimed on this cancellation fee, for clients calling to cancel or rearrange an appoint on the same day (within 24 hours).
